WIP - Locker001

I modeled this locker over a weekend, mind you it did not take me an entire weekend to model it, just an on and off modeling. Thanks to Incubator Games for letting me borrow their concept to model. The locker is still a work in progress, a few changes need to be made to match the concept better and to create a lower poly model with baked normals.

WIP: Aero Trailer

Aero Trailer Design. I did some research and working off a few references. I may change the wheels of the tires, not sure to what though. Right now I am using the front tires of the tractor as place holders. Once I am done with this trailer I am going to destroy it and make it look really used. Wish me luck!

Helm Design One

Added both side views.
Adjusted the front view, gave it more interest. Still needs tweaking, but I will get that in the final design.

Scarab Controller - WIP Part 2

Continuing to complete this model of a Scarab Controller. Modified how the cable exits the controller and added some slight accents in the model for more interest. Inspired from The Ottoman Production and one of the concept artist David Ward.

Note: I am not part of the production. I am just inspired by the art direction and story and wanted to model some of the concept ideas.

Vintage Car Show

Went to the Father's Day Vernon Vintage Car Show today. Walked around took a few pictures and left. There were a lot of classics at the car show and some, "What is this doing here?" type cars. The weather called for isolated rain, but it didn't touch the car show which was nice. I have some pictures below that I took while there.  I have more and will post them later.

New Jersey Devils Logo and New Interest

A little something for my girlfriend who is a die hard New Jersey Devils fan! Modeled her the logo of the Devils and turned it into a wallpaper. As for hockey...uh yeah fun stuff!

Looks as if the New Jersey Devils may have a strong chance at winning the Stanely Cup. I have to say I never thought I would be into hockey as I always thought it was just boxing on ice. But I am starting to really enjoy the game, thanks to my girlfriend.*smile*

I watched Game 5 Devils vs. Kings and I have to say not impressed with the many dirty tricks the Kings tried and what is with Quick when there was a scruff going on near his net? Anyway, kudos to Carter for pulling Brodeur away from the scruff at the Devils net.

Over all I think the game went really well and applause for both goalies Brodeur and Quick for a spectacular job. We'll see how Game 6 goes, pretty exciting stuff.

Creative Chaos

Creative Chaos is where artists take their crafts to the Vernon Recreation Center and sell what they have made. A lot of pieces of art are unique, many one of a kind type pieces. The fair goes for 3 days and starts at 10:00am til 4:00pm or 6:00pm depending on the day. The crafts range from wood carvings, drawings, paintings, leather works, glass and metal works, and much, much, more.

I spent some time at Creative Chaos looking around and there were some pieces of art that stood out, depending on an individuals taste and style, likes and dislikes differ. The Vernon Recreation Center consists of three buildings of arts and crafts. You start at any building walking pass all the artist stands looking at what they had to offer, as one would say, "...a farmers market without the food."  Don't get me wrong, there is food and some music in the background from live musicians. The food is provided from restaurants that seem to also offer catering services, Mexican, Asian dishes, snow cones, coffee, ice lemon drinks, cotton candy, and other types of food.

If you would like to know more about the history of Creative Chaos click on the link above. The links below will take you to either a Facebook or website of what caught my eye. So, if you are ever in Vernon, BC in June look up Creative Chaos take a look, you might find something you may want.

Sunburst Crafts: Leather Goods

Great leather works. Murray and Annette Anderson creates the art for the covers and wallets. Really nice work on the leather book covers. The interest here were the book covers because they can be used for stitched bound sketchbooks of many sizes. Stitched bound sketchbooks can be purchased from Murray and Annette also if you wish. But take a look at what they have to offer if you want. There are a lot of very kewl designs.

Earth Nynja

The interests here were they pieces of leather masks. He had some very nice pieces made out. He also sells other leather pieces also, like wristbands, belts, and such, but the masks were the pieces I found most interesting. At the moment I found his websites no longer active, but he has a Facebook site if you care to check that out: Facebook Earth Nynja

WestCoast Gnomes

This guy was very kewl. High spirited and had a ton of nice carvings of, yep you guessed it Gnomes. Very cute! I think you will love this.
